Pole Position cockpit restoration

New to the forum and you have inspired me on building A spy hunter Cab!

Question how were you able to get the colors so vibrant, did you use a stencil of some kind and then spray paint or is that a final layer over top?

Sorry if asked and answered?

Welcome to the forum. The sideart was a set of large vinyl stickers that I purchased from

There are plenty of videos on youtube on how to install sideart. Basically, there are 2 major methods, the wet method and the dry method. I would advise trying to search for videos on both in order to see what you would be more comfortable with.

Two of the main reasons I decided to laminate the side of the cabinet was to allow for easier vinyl installation and wood stabilization. It is not mandatory to laminate before you install side art. But I find it easier to apply large side art over laminate, especially if you are doing major wood replacement, like i did.

If you look at the spy hunter cockpit restoration that @KaBoom1701 did,

you can see what an awesome job he did with the artwork without lamination. I'm sure he can help out with any questions you may have. And of course, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Same. Mine performed beautifully all night during Holloween and the kids loved it.
Just wanted to let y'all know I had my Pole Position cockpit running all day Sunday with zero issues. Original board set, original ARIIs and power brick. This guy must've raced in it 50 times.
