Pole Position cockpit restoration

Sorry for the lack of updates. I made a bone head mistake that I am trying to figure out if I want to fix or not.
Here is a hint. What is wrong with this picture?

T-moulding slot cut off-center?

Honestly, because of where it at. I'd just remove that small stip of t-moulding and paint the edge black them reinstall the t-moulding and trim it where it sits proud of the edge. No one will ever see it anyways. Unless your OCD like me and it will bug the hell out of you. Lol

Not quite. That is just a bad angle for the T-molding It is fine.

I put the coin door frame on upside down. When I took it off to rotate it, there was a mark on the paint that wont be covered up when the coin door is installed correctly.

So do I live with it? Or do I take off the entire coin door wood support, sand and repaint?

I appreciate encouragement. And you all right. It will drive me nuts. Damn OCD. lol

I guess I know what I'm doing this week. Time to put my next restoration on hold for a bit.

I have a Toobin that is next up. I started some wood hardener work yesterday. But there is a huge chunk of wood I'm going to have to cut out and repair. Then laminate. I was hoping to have this done by the end of the month. Now,....maybe Thanksgiving, if the weather holds out. lol

I'd love to have your Gorf. It is such an awesome game. And yours looks to be in good shape. How has it not sold yet??
Besides room in my game room, my main concern are the customs on the board set. I'd hate to buy a paperweight. I guess I could always go with one of those new fangled FGPA boards.

Well it's better than me priming and sanding my Spy Hunter cockpit 4 times to satisfy my OCD. Lol
Nothing wrong with OCD when it comes to game restorations. It means you have an eye for detail. And to be honest, your Spy Hunter is friggin gorgeous. All the work was definitely worth it.

Here is the door after a little cleaning with some isopropyl alcohol, magic eraser, and clorox wipes. I'm kind of leaning towards just doing a little touch up paint instead of a full vinyl replacement. Thoughts?

Good plan. Perfection is the enemy of good enough.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I must have angered the paint gods.

I had the coin door frame primed, sanded, and looking beautiful.

I did one coat of black enamel, sanded smooth. And on the second coat, this

The damn plugs I used to fill the holes from the coin door lock show through. I'm going to sacrifice some rollers and brushes to a fire pit tonight and see if that will make the paint gods happy with me.
I'll keep you posted on the 3rd or 4th (I lost count) painting of this piece.
