Pole Position cockpit art

Well, I've found the art file (which could be printed by MameMarquees) for the rear art under the plexi, but not for the sides yet...

Okay, and now I've found the file for the side art. I'll see if I can download these and check the quality, then I'll let you know...

I'd like to know too. I have all the guts from a PP2 cockpit from my work, who only wanted the cab to use for something non-arcade related. I'm half inclined (i.e. stupid enough) to build my own cab by copying all the cab pieces at work. Artwork would obviously be an issue for me. :)

Did anyone ever repro this?

Not that I know of, though I am not sure why. I am restoring my cockpit as I work on other machines and I am just repairing all the edge and corner damage and then feathering oil-based white paint from the repair into the white vinyl. Then I use #0000 steel wool to smooth out the texture, and finish with two coats of Turtle Wax polishing compound and my buffer. It's working pretty well, I can barely see the repairs. If new artwork was reproed, I'd buy it, but for now, my solution is 100 times better than leaving it the way it was.

could you take some pics of the "repaired" spots? this technique sounds promising!

Yeah, I was gonna finish it up and then post some pics in a new thread in the restoration forum. I have one side (or 2 of 4 sections) nearly done and T-molded. I also removed the roof and have sanded, sealed it with poly and am now re-vinyling it as well.

Yeah, I already found that, but it won't let me log on, and my request for my password to be reset hasn't been answered yet.

I'll let you know when I have it, and where it can be printed....

Okay, I got them, and they look very clean when blown up in Illustrator.

Doubt we'll get anyone to screen-print this, so I guess inket repro like Mame Marquees uses will be the best bet?

Want me to check to see what it would cost? I guess I'd have to let him know exactly how tall and long it should be, huh?

Who wants to measure their cockpit, and reference it to certain images in the art? if you do, take a pic of the cab, then draw your measurements onto it...
