I have a point blank 2. I don't have a Namco Point blank 2 "V147 EMI" PCB. (But I don't think I need one either.)

I see the 12 pins or so on the board that I think go to the guns. But how do I wire them to happ guns? (Anyone know what size connector/contacts to buy for it?)

I have seen the Point Blank PDF to do this that has you move jumpers around, but that doesn't seem to match Point Blank 2 at all.

Thanks!

So, I voltmetered it and I found 4.8v on 4 different pins. 1.5v on a few pins. .5v on a few pins. All while only player 1 was active. Any help on which pins are which? I seem to be having trouble finding a ground as they all read voltage.

I contacted that last guy on KLOV to post this question and he didn't figure it out yet either.

I have seen lots of cabs with happ guns... so this is possible, right?

Do you want to use Happ recoil guns or non recoil guns? Do you have the Namco guns but they dont work?

Happ non recoil guns.

Namco guns long gone. I don't have any wiring between the guns and the PCB.

I don't have filter board either, so I am working from J3 on the PCB.

I dont see a J3 but I do see a J33.

The black and red wires on the Happ guns are Ground and +5. I dont recall which is the trigger and which is the sensor but its easy enough to figure out with an ohm meter. Trigger (pins 7 and 12) would go to the wire thats connected to the trigger and the other wire (sensor) would go to pins 9 and 14.

Turns out that I have a copy of the manual on my work computer...

I was going to upload a picture of the area of the board I'm talking about but I cant for some reason.

I dont have a board (I have not had a PB2 on the route for well over 10 years). I was looking at the schematic I found online. I dont see a 10 pin connector anywhere on the Schematic on the main board. According to what I'm seeing the guns connect to a 15 pin connector off of a board called "position PCB" which looks to either piggy back on the main board or connects to another connector. Whatever the board is it plugs into J17 on the "game PCB" and should have 3 more connectors on it. A 9 pin, a 6 pin and a 15 pin.

Heres the manual if you dont have it.

Im working with one currently. Theres 6 wires that connect. On player 1 side you have yellow + 24v for the solenoid, black for ground, red is +5v to sensor, blue is sensor, white is trigger, last wire is solenoid. Sorry im not staring at it right ow, but youd need only the four wires for sensor, trigger, ground, and voltage to the sensor. All of this comes from a connector on the filter board, volatge from pins 1 & 4, the other wires from pins 6 7 8 & 9. The 24 v solenoid wire is supplied from a separate power supply that feeds into a power harness on the other end of the flter board. Im using happ sf-x recoil guns with mine.

You need the filter board. It routes power to the pcb and back to the other harness. It slides onto both the jamma connector and the aux connector. Theres also a small connector from the pcb to the back of the filter board. Ill get a picture and upload it.

I was hoping to skip the filter board. I have a judge dredd PCB that hooks in to the main board for just the photo sensor and the trigger and grounds/5v off of the wiring harness.

Would you be willing to disconnect your filter board and do a continuity check to find out which pins go to the photo senor and trigger for players 1+2 to the main PCB?

I don't have recoil guns (just standard happ 45s). From my searching on the internet, the filter board just makes the wiring easier and doesn't do anything. From the hand full of pictures of it that I found, that seems to be true.

Or, on a side note... anyone have a filterboard+wiring harness for it they want to sell? :)

My cab is currently buried behind a bunch of office furniture. Might be a bit before i can get to it

Did you ever get to your cab? I have found a few "untested" filter boards that mostly likely don't work, and they never have a wire harness with them (leaving me mostly in the same spot).

Great! I'm looking for the pins to connect to on the PCB as I have no filter board. Let me know what you find!
