As a customer of PNL myself, I was concerned when I was there recently - twice in the last few weeks. Don't get me wrong, John does good work and is an asset to those in the collecting community (and operators) that need monitor help. I've been using them for years to work on monitors that I had given up on. Some folks will actually bring their entire games to them for repair and those games are stored outside under a small metal awning right in front of the building.

We have had a couple substantial rain storms here in LA recently and my last visit was in between those two storms. I inquired about the games stored outside and what they were doing to protect them from the rain. I figured they were moving them inside temporarily during the storm. Nope. The games were not moved.

So if you have games there for repair right now, they are being exposed to the weather. It doesn't take long for these old cabinets to soak up the water like a sponge. Very disappointing. More storms are on the way, too.

That is terrible.

For non-locals, the recent rain storms have been overnight affairs. If they were left uncovered, there is definitely damage.

That is pretty irresponsible of them. Treat customers better than that.

Yeah, it really is irresponsible. I feel bad for the owners of those games. Some nice titles there right now. I have a shot I took many months ago of a Superman pinball under the awning. It's still there BTW.

Two more storms are on the way and should hit this weekend. I hope everyone can get their games out of there before then.

If I seen that I would just turn around and take my game someplace else.

And I would be pissed if I came there to see my game outside like that without even a tarp on them...

There might be a reason why they are outside... non paying customer, no room, abandoned...

If they had a non paying customer, I would still keep them inside and sell them.
If they have no room they should make room or call the people to come pick up their game.
If they are abandoned, I would still keep them inside and sell them.

They may have called the owners and no answer, have no room inside, and can't legally sell them yet. They could just not care about these machines like others do.
