I have a few boardsets that I've only tested for about 30 min after repairing them. I'm thinking of selling them, but I want to do a 12hr burn test first. I don't want my monitor on for 36-48 hours though. If I disconnect the monitor power after boot, then connect it back up while the game is running after 12 hrs, is it any more stressful/dangerous than just powering on the game and monitor all at once?

I'm assuming there's nothing like a variac built into the iso transformer, so I can't see why it would be any worse, but I've been wrong before.

You shouldn't damage the board or the monitor unless they are close enough for static buildup on the monitor to arc to the pcb...
