Plexi Glass - I hate you!

OP, you are now in the future. It is the year 2018, and believe it or not....the fat "you're fired" guy from TV is now your president.

Also, use a step drill bit....you'll never crack plexiglass again.
 
I've cracked all of my plexiglass attempts with several different bits, different drills and even bought jig blades especially made for cutting plexi. I need to get some plexi on a few of my street fighter cabs and a big blue.
 
I'm pretty lucky - we have a laser cutter at work. Absolutely love the
thing.

Use lexan instead of plexi. Well worth it. More durable. Easier to drill. Won't crack. Good stuff. Use a step bit or a wood paddle bit. Nothing has ever chipped when I have used this.
 
when you drill, put a piece of wood behind it. Use slow even pressure to make sure the transition from plastic to wood is seamless. this will eliminate cracks and also and chance of blow out. Also if you can get them, buy plastic only bits. TAP sells them.
