Hey guys, I have rescued this Cocktail machine from my parents basement and when you start the machine it works fine for 3-4 minutes then the screen starts to flicker and then it flickers so bad you can't play the game.

Is this just the monitor? Is the monitor just like a CRT Monitor that I can just buy a old used one (same dimensions) from a Goodwill and be able to replace it?

It not, can I get a replacement monitor (if you think that is problem).

Look forward to input!

Due to the fact that these monitors can be 20+ years old, the parts can wear out. Most monitors can be rejuvenated by installing new capacitors called a capkit. It is the cheapest way to go. I just finished my first one today and it turned out great. You need to do some research on this. A lot of VOLTAGE runs through the monitors and you need to be careful. Do a search for "The Real Bob Roberts", this is a good place to get parts. If you need more help, make sure to give as much information as you can (Monitor type, attach pictures and be specific about what you need answered). There are a lot of great people on this site that really try and help. Good luck on your project!!!!

P.S. If I said anything that was a bit off, I'm sure that someone will correct it.

A video of your issue would really be your best bet if your looking for repair suggestions and possible problems :)

Also, your monitor is an arcade monitor and a TV or computer monitor will not work Unless your gonna do a tube swap and that involves basically pulling apart the entire monitor and even then you must find a compatible tube. this is most likely not your issue anyway. Things to check would be connections, cables, etc. But it could also be your flyback arcing as well. To check for flyback arcing look at the back of the monitor while under operation and look for blue sparks or similar. Be careful around the back of the monitor there is a very high voltage potential there. Please post a vid
