Please list your location in the title of your post.

If you're in ND, simply assume nothing posted here is going to be close. Closest will be something in MPLS, but those make it to CL and not here.

I guess it's just a different type of personality thing, but I've never understood the big deal with that. I mean, here's the two options.

A.
you browse the forum. You're not interested in most of the stuff for sale, but HEY! There's something that catches your eye! a MINTY FRESH Donkey Kong for $100! Click, oh god Click why is it taking this page so long to load... Yeah... Yeah.... OH SHIT, IT's IN ALBEQUERQUE!!!!! DAMN, I'M NOWHERE NEAR ALBEQUERQUE!

What's the difference? Is it really better to have your cornflakes pissed in, in the title than it is in the post? Are we really to the point where you need to save that 3 seconds? If your 3 seconds is THAT valuable, surely you have somewhere better to be.

No offense, maybe I'm the crazy one, but I just don't see why it's an issue period.

I see it as... if the location is in the title... and maybe there's not exactly a title I'm looking for and I'm browsing but someone JUST HAPPENS to be in AZ and has a cab that I wouldn't search for but... hell it's down the road and only $100? Why the heck not!

I just think it makes browsing MUCH easier. But I'm a newbie too... so take that for what it's worth.

I agree, you're going to be disappointed whether it's in the title or the post, why desire to be disappointed earlier?

Hey likwidtek, whereabouts in Phoenix are ya? I'm near 19th ave and Indian School... Just wonderin. :)

Awesome! More Phoenix ppl. I work in tempe (university and rural) and live on the west side at 108th ave and Camelback. :D Good to meet ya. I have no cabs at all right now though :/ (lots of room though :D )

Thanks for the additional threads JeffC.

I agree with the idea. Not that 3 seconds is going to kill me but 3 seconds on each one of the frickin post for something for sale... it adds up. Yes I look at most of it. Looking to learn and possibly obtain as much as I can, and it really suck with the fact that NOTHING is ever in Oklahoma on this forum. lol

I like the idea. 3 seconds for every thread looked at is compounded into extra worthless minutes. It's a filter purpose, and every other web based sales site works the same way (CL, Auto-trader, Ebay). It doesn't matter for people already willing to ship, but I would think most people aren't shipping so therefore listing location would be important.

What I think people should post in the title is a picture. Because I'm not buying a DAMN thing without a picture. PLEASE POST PICTURES IN THE TITLE!

Also gross weight of the game. I can't move anything over about 400 pounds.

PLEASE POST GROSS WEIGHT OF THE GAME IN THE TITLE

If I see a game i am interested in I simply look in the top right corner. It show what state and city (most of time) where there from. I do not see the need to put where ur from in your ad.

Seems to me like it would be common sense to put name of item, location and price all in the title of the thread?
Being that the people posting these threads are trying to sell something, I would think they would want to do everything in their power to try to make the potential buyer happy... but then again this is KLOV and the traditional rules seem to go bye bye here :D

I hate clicking links and reading about something I couldn't get. Why would it be so hard to post a location in the title?

I think sellers would get better results if people in the area knew what was for sale. Sometimes I don't even consider getting a game until I learn it is local.
