Can someone identify this for me? It looks like a Sega/Gremlin but with a Midway coin door?!? I can see that there are no 1/2 player start buttons on the front edge of the cp, but is there any chance at this being a Frogger cab with a swapped out or modified cp or will my search for a Frogger have to labour on?

My first impression is the same as yours. Frogger cab with a midway door. I think the frogger coin door is longer than a midway door though so it would have had to have been filled in or the front of the cab replaced for that coin door to fit correctly. Can't think of what other cab it would be though. Hopefully someone else knows for sure.

it may be a centuri cab

measure the height of the cab its def not a frogger frogger had the plexi bolted to the cab and is super short

cab on the left is a frogger one on right is a centuri

Not too sure about what the cabinet was in a past life, but it looks to me like the monitor was modified at some point. Look how far recessed it is from the monitor glass. I can't realistically see a manufacturer purposely building a cab like that. It could be a homebrew cabinet as well. I have one that is a completely hacked Galaga. Bootlegged board, cabinet, everything.
As far as I understand it, a guy used to build Ms. Pacs and Galagas way back when in his garage (1982 or so). Then he'd put them on his truck, and run around to all the local operators. When a dedicated Ms. Pac or Galaga was $2500 back then, he'd sell you "his" Galaga or Ms. Pac for $1500, or both machines for $2500. Game plays identical, so why not? Long and short of it, this one survived the years, and actually still works. I think it even has a manual too. Unfortunately, I don't think the guy survived without some jail time, once Midway got word of this going on. (Not sure on that one, though)
So, the point of this story is that it could be a "bootleg" cabinet with a Midway door (I think my Galaga has a Midway door on it, Galaxian-style). Just a thought.

looking at the pics it's definitely not a centuri cab. Looks a lot like the frogger cab on the left to me in the above pic. If the only reasoning for saying it is not a frogger cab is that it is missing bolts that go through the plexi I would say that argument isn't a very strong one as the bolts may have been removed and the plexi replaced. As for the other gentleman comment about the mounting of the monitor placement. Froggers did have the monitor set back like that. The coin door is still throwing me off but the more evidence people are presenting, the more I believe it is a sega/gremlin frogger style cab.

frogger is right at 67 and a half measuring on the front to the top or the ouer edge

the thing that tellls me its not a froger is the coin door

someone would have to do some major work to replace that frogger door with a midway

frogger coin door on the left midway on the right
