I originally purchased this chassis as a 13" Wells Gardner that was supposed to be not working with a bad flyback.

When it arrived it was obvious that it was not what I purchased but as I realized what it was I figured if I could get it working it might be a good replacement for my Race Driving. So as I started to hook it up to a tube that I had on hand with the correct pinout this is the image that I stared getting and it didn't change much after the cap Kit. I am getting about 16KV at the anode cup and I don't have any real test information regarding this monitor. The image is "good" but too small and what I have found stated something about the cut off pots on the neck board but adjusting these had no effect, at least what I was doing had no effect on the display size. I am using the TPG that I picked up here and I get full screen image on other monitors so I don't see why I would't with this one also.

Any help is appreciated to help me get a better grasp on things.

From just a quick view of the pictures it looks like that maybe a K4915 instead of a K5515. Especially looking at the last picture if that is a 25" tube. The picture would look like the if a 19" chassis is on a 25"tube.

What is the part number on the width coil?

I Will check that part # but all other part #'s lead me to believe that it is a 25" chassis.

What is the difference between the two? What am I looking for to tell the difference?

I wasn't thinking clearly. The width coils are the same for the 4915 and the 5515. I looked at the schematics for both and one difference is in the width circuit where the width caps are. Extra parts on the K5515.

I don't see very many medium resolution chassis. Especially the K5515. It's kind of a rare piece.

yes width CAP and "HOT" part# correspond to the information I have that points to 5515 from what I have read on other posts. As I have stated I can't find much if any test information regarding the 5515.

well I found the Manual in the Atari manual section of the library TM-295

So at least I have somewhere to start and some values to check.

I wish I had more testing information to go by like Test point information and the Oscilloscope readings I might be looking for and such.

I guess I will replace the Flyback and see if that helps. Couldn't hurt and then start with the manual and go through the parts to verify model and functionality.

Still looking for Help

if you find you need to replace the flyback here is the replacement for the 25K5515.

Im starting to think that this is a 4915 and if that is the case has anyone ever just changed out the parts on these chassis to convert a 4915 to a 5515. seems that it would only be a handful of parts. Of course the flyback the yoke and the CRT are different part numbers but the majority are just some mylar caps and some resistors. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Or does anyone maybe want to trade a 19" med res chassis for a 25" med res chassis?

Information I need from a post somewhere else

difference between 4915 and 5515 for Identifying

The easiest way is to check the value of C311:

4.7uF 160v = 19"
10uF 160v = 25"

That's not the only difference, but it's the easiest to check...

So I check C311 and it shows up as 10uf 160v but then I start checking other components and it leads me to believe that it is a 19" but then some components listed aren't on the chassis from either parts list. Not sure what to think other than I have a 19" chassis and some of the parts aren't necessary in later models and my printing of the manual is like an earlier printing with extra parts? Does anybody who sees these regularly chime in both these missing parts?
