I recently purchased 2 cabinets an Area 51 and Cruisin Exotica. The Area 51 powers on and there is picture, but the picture is distorted with black lines running horizontally across the monitor. I decided to try a cap kit so I went looking with no luck its a 25" and the monitor said Makvision the model# 3M25 and the chassis model is C3125B. The Cruisin Exotica powers on and plays blind , so I figured on going with a new flyback and cap kit. The monitor is a Wells Gardner WGM2575 -U4GS27J. Can some one please tell me what flyback I need and what cap kit or if they don't make a cap kit is there one I can buy that will work.. Thanks a lot to anyone who helps its much appreciated..

The 2nd one I know fairly well. Itll be a 25in WG 7501/2 monitor. Flyback is 053X0671-001 - $33 from http://www.arcadecup.com/

Cap kit is available all over - K7400/K7500 High Temp Cap Kit Alternate Kit $11 http://www.orderfrombob.com/cap-kits

The makavision may be covered in this 288/A Chassis (Makvision/Pentranic/Others) 1425/1432/2425/2427/2432/2435/Others on the same page. I havnt worked on many of those though, so I wouldnt know.

On the 7500, have you checked to see if your getting high voltage at all? There is a B+ test point on the board. It could be any number of issues that the cap kit wont help with...

Thank you so much man ..Ahh your the perfect person to ask then... i just saw this today on that board I was attempting to find the HOT and test it which I believe is bad from my multi meter but im not 100% sure i did it right. This is what I realized today that on the board front left hand corner there is a 3 pin socket and the board is labeled "AC In" and the socket has a K and N on the board I think.. Im new to this but I think I need a Plug there lol.. Thats a better place to start not the flyback first haaa.. I looked for a loose cable and found nothing and im not sure how to power it or if i can jump the power from another connection I Dont KNow...and what you said "have you checked to see if your getting high voltage at all? There is a B+ test point on the board. It could be any number of issues that the cap kit wont help with..." Do you mean have I checked the HOT and im not sure what a B+ test point is sorry..

i do not work on theses chassis.

but i can help show you how to test your H.O.T. and VR.
watch this video and it will explain how to test them.
this is almost industry standard but some chassis may vary.
