I purchased an empty cocktail cabinet at a yard sale for $35, but I have no idea what this machine was originally!

The cabinet itself is in pretty nice shape, but has no monitor. There is a PCB inside, but there is no clue as to what it may be. The controls are pretty simple, with only two movement buttons, a fire button, and an extra unknown button. Space Invaders perhaps?

There are a few pictures attached and I will reply to this message with a few more...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

I thought astroids but forgot about hyperspace.

I'm thinking SI clone.

My suspicion is this cabinet began its life as a Space Invaders or Galaxian clone, then was converted into something that uses two fire buttons.

Note the white button to the left of the red fire button on either control panel. It has no "label" beneath it unlike the rest, and it appears to be spaced slightly differently from the red button on the player 1 side than on the player 2 side. That makes me think it was added afterwards by an operator.

Are their any markings, labels, etc inside the cabinet? I have some vague recollection of seeing a cocktail cabinet similar to this years ago called "Cosmic Galaxian". I believe it was made by Elcon Industries, whose best known release was Cosmic Attackers, a S.I. clone.

I've seen this same style cabinet a number of times, with a number of different games installed. Dunno the manufacturer.

Thank you for the helpful replies!

There are no other markings anywhere inside of the cabinet, no stickers, nada.

There are some stickers on the different banks of chips on the PCB. They are the following:

Bank 1:

M1U4F M2V4F
M3U5F M4V5AF
EMPTY M6V4F
M7V4F M8V4F

Bank 2:

BM1V2 GM1V2 RM1V2
BM2V1 GM2V1 RM2V1

There is also one lone chip with the label:

VMS
E

The only other thing of note on the board is a DIP swith with 8 different switches...

Hopefully that will be of some help.

Thanks again!
