Please don't delete prices from for sale posts when sold!

Please?

When I'm trying to sell a PCB (like a Galaga PCB), I like to check the recent or last for sale thread to see what the current prices are being asked and bought.

However, when I see a post has been edited to say - Galaga SOLD - I have no idea.

Am I off base here? Why not just put - Galaga $100 SOLD...?

i totally agree....drives me nuts!!!

I see np with that requests.

A) It helps seller from asking an overly exaggerated price
B) It helps seller get most $ for his item

It is good for seller and buyer.

The only problem I could see with that is if a buyer didn't want people to know what he paid for something.... unless a buyer has an issue with it though, I'm hard-pressed to see where it'd be a problem. This has frustrated me many times on the neogeo forums.

that irks me too. I always leave the prices and then put sold after it. It just makes sense for keeping up with what things are going for, and makes the search function useful.

i can do that, but i sometimes sell things for different prices than what was in the ad, and i'm sure others do the same. so what you see may not be a good indication of true sale prices.

I also agree and track these prices on boards as well
its alwsys nice to know what soemthing sold for
so why edit/erase the price in the first place?

When a post is edited you can hit the link that says "last edited by..." and it will show you what was revised on the post. PIA but it works.

I agree, don't edit out the for sale price.

EDIT: Nevermind :) I guess that only works for posts YOU have edited :)
