Please do not send me offers for Rusty Quarters Arcade Machines

Even though times are tough, We're working really hard on working things out. We're currently doing alot of improvemnet and hoping to attract more customers. It's too soon to tell on how we're doing but PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL or CALL us about when we're going out of business, liqudation sales, or calling dibs on current machines.

IF we have to shut our doors, please be respectfull and if the time comes that we will have to sell our machines, then we'll let you know.

Sincerly,
Sage James Spirtos

Wow! That is a brutal thing to be taking place. No matter what I think about how you are running your business it seems in poor taste to do that.

Guys his business is fairly new and he is learning the good bad and the ugly of customers and running a business. Its the tough time of year for an arcade and if he can hold on and diversify it could pickup in the fall like all Arcades. It is a very nice games room so lets support it as it is something we all here wish we had the balls to try. Keep sending him business idea that may work to help out.

I think a slicker website selling some parts, t-shirts, etc. and having some other things to sell will help his cause. I would think if he has to shut down he would want to keep his prized games period. I sent him a PM on what I thought and he has the right to do what ever he wants. It is his money and his games and I think he is absorbing all the input and will implement what he is comfortable with.

Best of luck to you Morbidboy, wish I was a bit closer to visit the arcade!

Just look back at your own threads. There will always be positive folks and there will always be negative.

Hang up the phone or delete the email and move on. Personally, I would not offer an explanation nor spend any time entertaining a conversation. No need in letting them be a downer.

If something does happen that necessitates the sale of something, which I truly hope it does not, at least you have a list of folks not to waste your time and bother with!! At least that is how I look at it. ;)

Since I can't take trips to Minnesota I'd gladly buy a T-shirt or if morbidboy sells a few of those retro console games online I'd buy those too.

I sure hope this isn't drama thread.
Having one more real arcade in the world would be great.

My friends in IL that have an arcade do sell machines on occasion depending on the money circumstances. New ones are always at their doorstep. Plus it generates a fanbase and service call income. When it comes to doing business I don't think they have but a handful of games that have an emotional attachment they wouldn't sell for the right price. (like Smash TV which is a huge money earner)

Good luck. If you were closer I'd visit weekly.

I sincerely want to see you survive but to do so you need to get a little thicker skin. Stop making negative posts. Stop being negative on your website. Stop reacting to things that are a waste of time. Ignore things that are not going to result in money coming in. Everything coming from you should be positive. This post does not make me want to visit your arcade. It does the just the opposite.

Just my .02 instead of my .25

If I were you, I would request from a mod that this thread be closed. You made your statement and that's final. There's already a thread about RQ that had enough drama and this one is going to be a duplicate if it's not closed soon.

I think all the machines should be for sale at about double the replacement cost. If I were you I'd out those vultures. That's pretty offensive, but I would have given them a price... double your replacement price.

Agreed. You're best course of action is to tell them, "Thanks for the offer but we're not there yet. I'll keep your email on file and let you know if something is available. Thanks!" Whether or not you keep their email on file, delete it, print it out and burn it, etc. doesn't matter. This thread shouldn't exist. You need to be in the business of Customer Service to the n'th degree.

just another $0.02...

Obama has been the worst president bar none...He has almost bankrupted the country in his first 3 years...the absolutely last thing we need is another term of Obama...

Sure....and the president before him didn't saddle him up with that almost bankruptcy ? If you really believe that that is all Obama's fault you should think again....
