I just purchased my first standup arcade game, and would like to know more about the monitor. I checked out the pictures on the sticky to identify it, but they just don't seem to help. Fortunately there were some manuals inside the cabinet. From what I have gathered so far the cabinet is a Neo Geo MVS-4-25. The monitor manual says Kortek on the cover, but says inside that the monitor is a Zenith. I've taken some pictures, and do apologize fpr them, as it's difficult to get a good shot while the monitor is still in the cabinet.

Thanks

Zenith made the actual tube for quite a few monitors. Alot of WG monitors use them. Can you post the photos to flickr, picasa, ect so we can see a bit higher resolution? Are there any stickers with numbers on them anywhere?

Found another pic of the same chassis:

There is a cardboard protector on the back of the neckboard. Is there a sticker with a model # on it?

And is that manual for that monitor? Does it say inside what model it it?

Is there a schematic inside? If so, look in the corner for an ID box...

I've added some pictures to Flickr. There's a number on the neck board, it's SJ1325H. Is that the model #? I've added the same pics here.

No. How about opening up the manual and taking some BIG pics of different pages and putting them on Flickr?

I took a pic of every page of the manual and put it on Flickr. I don't know how to organize them so they come out in numerical order, but the pics go in order from 118 - 132

Thanks

At the top of the parts list pages is the model number (KT something-something-something, I can't blow up your pages to read it). This appears to be Kortek's electrical clone of a Wells-Gardner K7000 series.

That manual needs to be scanned and submitted to an archive site for future reference. I have never seen that manual before.

I hadn't noticed that - it says KTW-N 26'' CRT PCB PARTS LIST. So that's the model #? For future reference, is that # going to help me, if the monitor gives up the ghost, or will the K7000 be better, or do neither matter because I have the manual?

I would be happy to scan it. Can you give the website and maybe contact info of whom it should be sent to?

Thanks,

USN

I would like a copy of that please!! I have two of these dogs. I had a similar thread a while back. It's a mutt, I think it's a kortek copy of a k7000 made by Sharp or something crazy like that.

Just a word of advice, check the solder points on that giant mole connector... Mine has bad solder points and is driving me crazy but I've taken the monitor out so many times I don't feel like doing it any more. I've had nothing but problems with these chassis.

Thanks for the links. I don't have a working scanner, but I'm sure one of my friends does. I'll try to get it scanned in the next few days. I'll keep this thread posted on progress.

Yeah I have one of these that I hae in a machine that I just sold.
I couldn't figure it out till I noticed that it was a mirror of the K7000 25 uaing the same tube I have in my K7000 25" monitors.

All of the remote asjustment board connectors are a problem source and can cause jumpy pictures too. I removed all of the pins and bent them for tighter fits but was about ready to solder them down.

Double check that the caps match a K7000 and you will be fine. I dropped a new PC 12- fan in mine also since they are mostly out.
