This will now act as a general discussion thread for the PS3. Please feel free to share/submit your PSN IDs in this thread in order to be added to the PS3 Master List found here. Otherwise, discuss new games, reviews, set up online battles, etc.

I figured that was the case, but left it alone. I figured you'd say one way or the other :)

Fixed.

I'll add each of you, though I don't play online much yet. Just finished up both Uncharted games and now trying to claim the trophies for both. I've got MGS4 lined up after that. I also have LBP, though I haven't done too much with it yet.

Will probably be getting more into it soon, but I'm pretty much sticking to exclusives at the moment as most of my friends have 360s :p

I seen you on uncharted the last night, that game had a pretty fun online mode when I played the demo. I just never liked XBOX and from what I hear paying the money every month or year doesnt fix the lag issue online.

I haven't checked out the online mode in Uncharted 2 yet, but it looks decent.

I've found that as long as you have a decent connection, xbox live isn't too bad. And I always wait until I find a year subscription for around $30 (instead of the usual $50), which I don't think is bad for a full year.

At my old apartment, we had shitty phone lines and could only get DSL, so the connection was terrible. Now that I've moved and have U-verse, things run a LOT better. I could probably actually play Halo online now...but then again, I really don't care for Halo.

I enjoyed Nazi Zombies on CoD:WaW, but didn't play online with MW or MW2 much just because I suck compared to everyone else :) I enjoy the games a lot, but I guess I can't hold my own like back in the day with Quake 2 - haha.

Anyone plan on picking up MAG and has anyone played the beta for this?

I have MAG and played the beta. Great game IMO. It's a slower paced game than say MW2, but it should be a must have for any PS3 owner who likes FPS.

I know I'd be like 3 year late to this party, but does anyone know is Warhawk is worth getting at this point? It's pretty much online only, so does anyone even play it anymore? I played a bit of the demo and it seemed like I could used to it, though it didn't seem very intuitive to me. Loved the original on PSX, though.

Also, how is the Sony bluetooth headset? Can it possibly be worth the $40-$50?

Warhawk is a tough game. There are still a bunch of people playing it though. I put it in last week and had no trouble finding a game to play. There was a tournament in 07 where the winner received a special knife. My clan only can in 22nd out of 1800 teams so I have the runner up knife :(

If you do decide to get it be prepared to get destroyed by the vets. You really have to invest a ton of time to be half way decent in the game. I think I have somewhere around 400 hours logged into the game and am able to hold my own.

The sony bluetooth is great. If you want it though, don't buy the stand alone version. Pick up Socom or that tom clancy game that comes bundles with it. For only a few dollars more you can have the headset and game. If you sync it with the PS3 by the USB cable you will get high quality sound.

This is what I was afraid of. I'll probably pass as I really don't have that kind of time for a game like that. I really enjoyed the original and was pretty interested in this back when it came out, but I guess I'm just too late to really get into it. Not too big of a loss, really.

Good advice. I was going to get the Warhawk/headset combo, but then realized that it wasn't the Sony one (though Jabra or whatever is a good brand).

Looking into the EndWar bundle, New Egg has it for $45 with free shipping and from what I've read, the voice recognition is pretty sweet. Thanks for the heads up on that one, I think that's a great idea!

You should be able to pick up warhawk used for about $10. For that price it's definitely worth it. There are "rookie" rooms, but a lot of people have ALT accounts so they can go into those rooms and get an ego boost by killing the new players. You can also set up and host your own sever (if your internet is good enough) and have fun with people you know who have the game. My clan still set up private rooms and mess around killing each other.

Jeep launching and air to air TOWs are hilarious.

I had the Jabra and compared to the Official it's garbage. Go the game route and get the headset. If you hate the game trade it in on something else. That's one game (end war) I have never played.

I'd expect that from many vet players, especially when additional user accounts are free. I'll probably pass on it, though I might pick it up on the cheap.

I assume that PSP uses the same network, correct? So like if you have a login for PS3, it also works on PSP and you share them somehow? I see the connect thing in the PS3 menu, so I assume you somehow link the PSP to your PS3?

I doubt I'll be linking mine as it's in storage someplace and still version 1.5 :p
