playing blind question

i bought a KAGEKI in a MAD PLANETS cab, when i went down to pick it up it worked great but after i got it home it quit working,plays blind. the guy i bought it from service's arcade games and he just put a cap kit on it i checked every connection to make sure they were tight and evey fuse, when i put my meter on the power cable to the monitor board i get nothing,dead? any ideas why im not getting power to the board?

if you're saying that you're not getting power to the chassis at all then you definately have a power line issue follow the wires back to the transformer and make sure all those are good and solid.

basically do a wiggle test on all the connections. but use caution around the High Voltage.
 
Mad Planets is a Gottlieb, right? Those things have fuses all over the place in the bottom, my guess is there's still a bad fuse you haven't found!

there are 5 fuses i ohmed all them out and there all good, also wiggled everything in ther?
 
Get the schematics for a Mad Planets off the 'nets. After you do that, just start at the monitor and check for power (you said there was none)... then move backwards through the wiring diagram and check for power at every junction the wiring makes (there will only be two or three, probably the fuse, then the transformer) until you FIND power... then you'll know something's messed up from there to the monitor.
