I've been looking for one... I'm starting to think that it doesn't exist???

Can anyone confirm that for me. I've struggled with servicing my playfield and while having issues with my slide mechanism I've always thought it was missing a prop rod... but maybe not... could be just slides/latch are just f'd up.

Since I dont have any other williams of that era... I have nothing to compare to.

Do you need the slides with the latches that attach to the PF, or do you need the actual prop rod? I have one slide/latch left from a Fishtales I parted out, but don't have a prop rod. Because of the latches though, I never used a prop rod, just locked the latches in place and tilted the PF all the way back until it was resting against the head.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Fishtales one if not the first game that didn't have a prop rod? Good ole slide and lift is what I thought was the normal on this one.

That's what I am thinking/concluding .. but I'm not very well versed in technical history of pins. Thanks for the info!!!

That pinbot I picked up has some wierd hinge and a prop bar in it. I much prefer sliding the Shuttle playfield and propping it up against the head but the Pinbot has a service outlet so.....tradeoffs are a bitch. Lol.

My slides are definitely screwed up... it doesn't lock properly. Now that I know there isn't a prop rod I can just fix the issue I'm having.

Thanks guys!!!!

I have owned 3 fishys, and none have had prop rods, and two of them had bent sliders (including my current one). So for now I just use a broom stick lol
