Ok so I played a few pins in my day, and I've always seen the ball do some strange things. I assumed that there were electro magnets under the playfield.

Well now that I have a Pinbot, and I've seen what's under the board. I'm a bit confused.

Example on my pinbot. The center where the Sat dish is, the ball will literally look like it's rolling in a dish, it has that much curve. But there is nothing but lights under the dish.

Now I know that the solenoids are huge electromagnets. Are these what is causing this movement? Not some randomly generated thing? Or Pinbot trying to be playful, or mean?

I've always liked the fact that sometimes the ball just goes where you don't expect, just wondering if it's intentional, or if it's just the nature of these pins.

It's in your mind, man. Pinball has never used magnets to cheat the player, despite all of us believing it at some point or another. There's little in this world more random than a pinball's movement!

Well I'm going to see about getting a video camera setup, and record it. Because I swear that ball has been coming straight down, and will do a 90 or more turn at the last minute. Totally mind boggling.. Maybe I'm moving the ball with my mind and I don't know it.

Well it's not level. The board is at 6 degrees. However I understand what you are saying. Yes the board has been leveled. This is not the first pinbot I've experienced this on. I just don't understand how a ball can damn near do a 180 when it's heading straight for the outhole.

Run your fingers along the path it takes and see if there's a dimple or bump that could be throwing the ball off. You might not see it, but there could be some aberration in the playfield surface causing this.
