I just got back from a week in Orlando. I took my son and nephews to DisneyQuest where we had a blast.. Played Jambo Safari for a long time. My son hit the pins with me and played skeeball. but we also went through the classics that they had (also saw a qbert in a back room -besides the one on the floor).

i was disappointed with the upkeep on some of the pins. Indiana Jones needed a rubber tip on the plunger. I cringed everytime I launched a ball. Iron Man was there, but stuck cuz the ball was missing. I didnt want to leave without playing it, so I turned it off/on and it resolved the issue.

we spent about 5+ hours there. definitely worth the admission price (especially since 3 of us got in for 1/2 price).

I also hit the arcade by space mountain and also at Port Orleans Riverside (didnt get to the Contemporary arcade).

I did pretty well playing the pins and actually got my first Billion score on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Did well on Pirates of the Caribbean and really liked Ripleys - but didnt do too well because of bad placement with a flourescent light above the game -too much glare on the playfield.

I really wanted to play Elvis at Space Mountain, but it wasnt registering my coins.

I really need to get my father in law (who works parttime for DW) to get to know the guys who work on the games.

They have a great selection of classic vids (on 2 floors), although some were in various states of disrepair, it's still very much worth a visit. Although, the free-play screen burn made me cringe.

Anything going on there with the new Tron release coming? Heard A rumour that the the arcade next to Space Mountain was going to become a Flynn's by the release. We need a little East coast Tron love!

There were no signs of anything movie related for that arcade.. only the ads on the buses and the monorail were the only sign that the movie was coming out.

Did you go to Disney quest?

Dinosaur is one of my favorite rides. Despite going on it year after year, it makes me freak out everytime the dinosaurs head comes right at you.

The arcade is great too.

just got back from orlando and had a few hrs at disney quest one day. Very worth the admission price if you have the time to go through it all. Checked out pretty much all the classics, very good selection and even a handful of various versions of ultracades to fill in some gaps (had to get in some Mat Mania and Zoo Keeper games in).

was disappointed that the three Tron cabs (two original, one DoT) had controls that were just broken enough to make them unplayable - bad spinner on one Tron and DoT and a balky stick on the other Tron.

Burgertime- screen fades to red every few minutes of play
Missile Command - missile buttons flaky

otherwise nothing really that would effect normal play on other games, Zaxxon's stick was loose but workable. It was great to play some games i'd never seen in the wild (Lunar Lander, awesome and awesomely hard) or hadn't seen in forever (Phoenix, FrontLine).
