We took the kids to Winchester Mystery House today and they have an arcade with actual classic games (mostly working) for a quarter a game. It was pretty cool since I wasn't expecting them to be there at all. They had maybe 15 games. Ms. Pac Man, Ghosts N Goblins, Centipede, Asteroids, Great 1000 Mile Rally, Pole Position, Vs. Mario Brothers, and some others.

You don't have to pay to park or get into that section. To go on a tour of the place you have to pay out the butt though. But it's interesting to do once. That lady was a loon.

EDIT: Oh yeah, they also have a Theater of Magic pin.

Sounds like the same line up they had there for years my wife couldn't get me off that Theater of magic pin. .Do they still have that lame magic guy there by the arcade?

All the years I lived there growing up, I never went there, but drove past it countless times to go to the Century theaters. I've been meaning to take the family there sometime during a visit so this will provide me with some more motivation. :D

thanks for the report, john. i missed out on a tour of the place while we were there for cax due to time limits, but this year we're gonna go out a day or two earlier, so i'll have to check it out.

The one hour tour of the building set us back $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Kinda steep I thought but it was cool to do it once. They kids liked it more than I expected them to.
