What an awesome game. At least as fun as my TOTAN, maybe even more so with those big spring loaded Phazer Guns at the ends of the ramps. Had the left flipper not died on me on my 3rd game, I may have played this machine all day. I played this game right after playing a TRON Pro, and there was just no comparison. I also had a chance to play a Jurassic Park for the first time (same place). That game seemed to be a lot of fun as well. Anyhoo, nice to know these 90's machines are still out there earnin' n burnin'. Now I need to find a Jurassic Park. (Probably couldn't afford a STTNG at this point).

Where did you play these? I know they had all 3 of these pins at the Pinball Warehouse a couple months back. I always love visiting there and just trying out as many pins as I want.

Blainbrook Bowl. I went there after meeting up with you dudes.

I've played that table @ Blainbrook too. AWESOME pin. It's my new #1 most wanted. I'm gonna have to save for a while to get that one. Donny won't sell his - I've already asked :)

I also played a Taxi, Big Guns and a Police Force? (The one with the Jungle Animals mocked up in the High Speed Back Glass scene). I think I may have dropped a quarter into one or 2 others, but I can't remember the titles.

When I got back into Pins after 15 years away I had intended to go right for a Phantom of the Opera (favorite machine back in the day) or a Lord of the Rings. Then a STTNG came up locally. Had never played it before so I grabbed some cash and went to check it out. After a couple hours of the owner showing me the machine inside and out, I had my first Pin.

I love the machine. I think it definitely has more of a learning curve than a lot of games but once you learn the shots, its a LOT of fun. Watch those side drains, the can ruin your day ;)

Great game, agreed. Too bad we don't live close, I have a nice ST:TNG and TOTAN is my "other" favorite game. We could trade pins for a few months each year.

I played a nice Medeval Madness last night, and its only about 10 blocks from my house, woo-hoo!

I have had my STTNG for over 5 years. It is still one of my favorite games.

Phet this was your first time??? :D

I must have put $200-$300 dollars in one back in college. Words cannot express my love for this pin. I started a fund to buy one, I figure I will have the money in 5 years, depends on how much I sell my vintage motorcycles for this spring. That might speed it up a lot.

My favorite for sure. During my restoration, I added some extras that make it look new.
New ships
Laser cannons
New plastics and protectors
Nikel plated the shooter by Mike Chestnutt
New coin door and legs

Alsom I purchased the ball guide lane extenders. Frown if u will, but the few millimeters make the game far more enjoyable. The laser cannons are great too.

Thanks for posting that. I've been chasing my personal high for a while and this give me a different strategy to try out.

STTNG is the best pinball machine ever made IMHO. You have to find one that works 100% though, which can be difficult as there is a lot to that game and usually the trough optos or the cannon looms are wonky. Blainbrook's is pretty good usually, I always choose it in the monthly tournaments there.

I have a STTNG pin and it's a great game, and very challenging both to play and to keep working 100% (for a person with average repair skills). Definitely one of the better pins. The only change I made to the game was putting in extended outlanes. What happened after I put them in? On the first ball it immediately drained on the right outlane!

HA! Serves you right...take those things out and play like a real man.

I think what I was getting at is that they really don't help. This is a pretty difficult pin. I have never come close to winning all the modes before Final Frontier.

I was just prodding you a little, hence the winky smile in the post. Remember, you don't have to "win" all the modes before Final Frontier, just start them all.
