Playchoice, VS, a few jamma boards. Legend of Zelda Playchoice

Cleaning out the game room, got a few leftover items and a few more things not getting played anymore. If you need more pics or have any questions it's no problem just ask. Shipping not included in price, buy a few things and I'll knock you a discount though. If any of the prices seem out of whack let me know.

Playchoice

Single Monitor Board - $75 BOTH SOLD - I have 2 of these one has a custom bios it's $80.

Double Dragon Topper & Box- $20 - Just the topper and box nothing else, sorry already sold the game. It's hard to tell in the pic, but it's the whole topper not just a sticker.

NOS? Screws to mount your toppers - $Free with anything else, found these in the bottom of a Playchoice cab, so while I can't guarantee they are original I assume so.

I have 4 Playchoice games left and would like to sell them as a bundle if possible, they are: TMNT 2 (with original but really bad shape box & styrofoam), Rush n Attack, Rygar, & Megaman 3. For all 4 $225 SOLD

SOLD - Actually have a 5th game, but it's rather unique and as such is for sale on it's own. It's the Legend of Zelda, yes it's the roms on a Rad Racer cart, however what makes this different is that a friend added a battery to the cart (it's exceptionally clean work) so that you can utilize the save function while playing this in your cab :) I'm not looking for tons of money on this or anything, however I don't know where to price this so for the moment make me an offer (I know, I know). SOLD

VS Stuff - First let me say that my VS died quite some while back and I can't test any of this. It was all working at one time but they have been in storage at least a year now.

VS Set 1 - Super Mario/Excitebike - $100 SOLD, both sets & the board. The Mario is original, the Excitebike is a soccer PPU and burned chips

VS Set 2 - Baseball/Baseball - $100 SOLD, both sets & the board. All original

Naomi Stuff

Virtual Fighter 4 Evo - $50

Naomi 1 Motherboard -$20 - This only works with MvC 2 for me. Don't know why, but I do know it's not a bios issue. I've tried a couple other games on it and none of them work and I switched the bios with a different board (Jap bios) and they still didn't work. However MvC2 had no issues. Unfortunately I just sold MvC2 so this is no good to me anymore.

Naomi Link board - $Free with anything else

Random stuff

Soul Calibur 2 - $45 - some scratches to the disc, reads fine on my Mac but I don't have a working sytem 246 to test it. Comes with security dongle and memory card.

Extra System 246 bits & pieces = $25 - What you see is what you get.

In the Hunt - $125

Raiden Fighters Jet - $40 SOLD - This plays fine, but has no sound except when coining up.

Peter Chou Power Supply - $Free with anything else.

From the pic you should be able to tell where the battery is attached, but if you mean where it connects to the board itself? It has a couple resistors along the way but it appears to connect at SL2 and U3.

Sorry I meant where was it terminated. So he added resistors as well?

Any chance you could upload a pic of that?

Thanks!

Sorry, I was gonna put up a pic but it was already shipped out and is heading overseas. If it helps I know you have to have a Rad Racer cart with the SRAM chip on it which many do not have.

Most stuff is sold, the original post is updated and almost every package went out today.

I have the SRAM RR cart. ;)

Steps to the mod

1. Pin 28 of the SRAM chip is VDD. We need to cut the trace going to this pin. You can see the scratches where I removed the trace right near the letters 'U3" in the pic.

2. Now that pin 28 has been disconnected, we need to reconnect it using a diode. So rather than Vdd going right into the chip, it goes through a diode, then into the chip. You can see the diode connecting SL2 to pin 28 of the SRAM chip.

3. Connect a 2nd diode to the battery, then a resistor(10k?), and then connect to pin 28. The other side of the battery needs to connect to pin 14 (GND).

The diodes act as one way valves and prevent the battery from sending power into the board. Also, the other diode keeps the Playchoice from sending power into the battery. The resistor lowers the forward voltage since the SRAM chip needs hardly any power to maintain the state.
