I know there has been several threads about the lack of nintendo cab t molding, mainly DK and mario bros, but I was thinking about replacing the t-molding on my playchoice cab, and was wondering if I am in the same boat...?

That cab should have 9/16 flat white. You can get it at Mikes Arcade, Arcadeshop or Tmolding.com. It's not as flat as the original Nintendo, but it's looks fine. - Barry

I'm in the same boat. I bought some molding and when applied it was "ok". There is an obvious difference. It just doesn't seem quite right. Miniscule, I guess, but I wanted more.

What ever happened to the Nintendo t-molding repro that was supposed to happen?

White? Really? Never knew that...mine has black on it, kinda hard to imagine it with white....interesting....

They came with white, I believe all Nintendo's did. Someone just probably used black at some point. - Barry

I agree it's not as great as the original, but it looks better than beatup, discolored original molding. I hope the run of original repro happens, we'll see. - Barry

Yeah mine is a single monitor. That would have been strange, because my PC was in amazing condition when I found it, everything is original, and it would have been weird for the tmolding to be replaced...

So, we've established that the white flat molding is available, but where does that leave us owners that need the black?

Up a certain creek, without a paddle... ;)

Actually one thing I've considered (but haven't tried yet) is using Krylon Fusion paint for plastic on old t-molding. It would have to be in good shape to begin with though, just discolored.

I am in the process of trying to find some black for my After Burner seat. It's 15mm black, the same as the Nintendos. 9/16 is the closest, and the only place I have found it is Outwater (250') or the UK. Mine has a crown, so I'm less concerned about the "flat" aspect.
