I have a customer that wants to convert a Vs. cab into a Playchoice cab. He has most of the Playchoice stuff, but doesn't have the timer. Does it need to physically be attached for the game to boot and operate? He knows he can set it for free play so that he doesn't have to worry about what the timer says, but doesn't know if it physically needs to be present for the game to work....

i have a single monitor pc-10 in a conversion cab here- there's no timer on it at all, and it works fine. Nothing better than some Duck hunt. :)
I also have a double monitor pc10 pcb here too, it boots up fine in my PO cab, but i don't have the proper control panel, so i've not really tested it other than to make sure it boots - which it does.

you're just talking about the circuit board/display, right? if so, i have a timer from a single cab pc10 that i can sell.. pm me if interested. it is in great shape and was working when pulled. i also have a few other pc10 items too.
