So, I had an arcade party for halloween and had the games all fired up for about five hours, two hours into it, I noticed my playchoice was getting garbage on the screen, but just during cycling through the game intros in attract mode. Sound was working, and the playchoice instructions were working, but when games came on, garbage. This was every single game. Is the board overheating?

It sounds more like you have a connector problem in the power supply. When the game gets hot the additional heat can cause failing connectors/components/solder joints to fail hard until they cool down.

Hmm...is that something that can be traced down easily? Or do I need an entirely new power supply? I dont run it that often, but if it runs for more than an hour, the glitching begins...suttle at first, and then badly

Pictures or video would be better please.

You can attach a meter to the 5vdc on the boardset and watch it for fluctuations. To do it properly you will need to find a way to reseal the cab (ie put the back door back on, but leave the meter out of the cab). With the cab buttoned back up you are operating under normal conditions.

Wait 10 sec..on my playchoice

My pc-10 is displaying

" wait 10 sec" .... On occasion it will boot up regular and it will play. But lately it's been taking some time to boot. I hear that the power supply could be going out. My questions are
Would I be able to buy a universal power supply and run my pc-10 or should I just replace it with another pc-10 power supply??

Also my buddy of mine has a extra power supply for the pc-10 but ita for the dual monitor, will it work on my single monitor ?

Thanks guys

Pardon my dumbness, but where on the board is that located?

I have a single monitor (vs. conversion) playchoice that was having this issue every once in a while, it was either a bad connection or the Donkey kong power supply causing the issue - I took out the big box PSU and cleaned it up on the inside, blew it out with PC duster, shook it about (which did nothing probably), hooked it back up and now it works fine.
