I have a weird power problem with my single monitor playchoice that I can't seem to figure out. I'm having issues getting any voltage out of the power brick. The ac Cord itself test fine I get 120 from it no problem. Once the line goes into the brick and back out I get nothing if I check the connectors on the brick. I can however get a 120 reading if I test a leg and the ground for the leg but not the two power leads (if that makes any sense sorry) any ideas on what to check? Am I making sense at all? Haha

did you test the fuse on the brick.

it is the black round thing sticking out with the cross pattern on it.

Peace

Any ideas anyone? I just can't figure out what's going on here. Like I said the only way I can get 120 is if I put a lead from my multimeter into one socket from the wire going out of the brick and then holding the other lead on a ground. If I check it by placing both leads from the meter into the two wires going Into the monitor I get nothing. If I test each socket for the wire separately while grounding a lead I get 120.

Picture por favor.

Take the metal cover off the power supply and look at the wiring.
I just fixed my PlayChoice by repairing all the chewed wires from a mouse that somehow got in there.
Worth a look.

A repair job I did last year was giving me the same headache, don't know what your game's symptoms are, but his had dead monitor & dead game booting. Turned out, just needed to replace the power supply. But I was struggling trying to get readings for awhile.
