Can anyone tell me the difference in cabinet dimensions between a single monitor and dual monitor playchoice? Specifically the depth, is what I'm interested in. I've got a dual monitor and this thing is just out of control huge.

Left my tape measure at home, I can get measurements on a Dual for you tomorrow. But roughly 3 feet at the base, CP sticks out another 4-6 inches. I am judging this on my 6"X6" tiles.

Mainly what I need is the measurements for a single. Or really just someone to tell me if its any smaller than the dual.

Are we talking the dual monitor PC10? Vertical stacked monitors? I don't have a single to compare, but compared to all my other cabinets it is hardly deeper or wider than anything else. Just taller.

Are we talking about the same cabinet or did you get some sort of freak experiment? Or are all your other cabinets mini's? :p

What brought this idea up, was that I had to move my dual monitor cabinet into a different room yesterday. While I was taking a break half way, I thought "This thing is enormous, I wonder if the single monitors are any smaller" (aside from the obvious difference). Then I started entertaining thoughts of trading my dual for a single.

I almost killed myself, literally, moving mine (dislocated my thumb and almost had it topple on top of me). So I understand. :p Mine has stayed put in its spot since the day I brought it home. The things are stupid top heavy.

Sorry, otherwise, I dunno how much smaller the singles are. I love my dual though. Cool concept for the time.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I like it. But then there are times when I think that there really is no reason for it to have two monitors. I mean, who doesn't know how to play SMB? I just start thinking that's one more monitor to eventually get burned and have to maintain...

That's why I don't like the duals, it's a waste of a monitor.

Single is 69 x 32 x 24in.

Yep I prefer the single, especially in dedicated form. The cabinet has a unique look which distinguishes it from the DK/Popeye cabs, but the profile and size of it still fits in with the standard NIntys. I just wish they would have made the cabs out of plywood rather than this low grade particle board. I agree though, the second monitor is meaningless. On the single monitor, you can toggle back and forth between instructions and game screens.

Confirmed it. The single is 32" at its deepest point, compared to the dual's 35.5" depth.

What a difference in size. Holy Bahjeezus.

The coin doors and bezels should be identical on these machines. Both have black doors and silver coin reject/return bezels.

Ok, so am I totally out of line in thinking I could do a trade of my dual monitor for a single? I tried searching the FS section for prices on each, but didn't come up with much. Is one generally regarded as being worth more than the other?

I don't think so. I've always put the value of either (in good shape and complete with 10 game carts) at about $450-500.

Yes, Phet. I know. The single monitor model was an early version before I went crazy on little details.

I'm afraid I am dual > single all the way. The novelty of the dual screen saves it from the crippling reality that it's just a cabinet with a modified NES in it. Granted, RGB to an arcade monitor NES, but still...
