playchoice at goodwill?????

I told the goodwill how to check the games and he did was hoping for a shatterhand but no luck boo !

Lot of this going around. I saw an ad on the local CL asking for Omega Race board repair. I emailed the guy to let him know he'd have to pay more than $40 for it and pointed him at some resources. Turns out he picked the game up at the Goodwill outlet for $20. And there was at least one other game there.

I told him I'd double his money if he gave up on fixing it. :D

I have bought 5 or 6 games at goodwill like places (sacred heart and I think a thrift city). I know I got a zaxxon, omega race, dig dug, pole position, maybe 1 or 2 more.

I don't see a problem with the game going to Goodwill. They sell it and make money for their charity. You think the dump or out on the street rotting is a better choice? Congrats to them getting it up on ebay. If I was local, I would try to fix it for free so they could get top dollar..

Same for me. I bought a Lunar Lander and an Atari Basketball at a Salvation Army store. Great prices for me, money goes to charity, donator is happy. It's win-win.

My wife found a decent EftPoRM at a thrift store earlier this year... I couldn't deal with the Hall Effect joysticks so I had to part it all out, but it all went to folks who needed the pieces, so win-win.
