Just got my Playchoice 10's proper power supply today, so I figured I'd plug it in to see if it fires up.

The top screen gives me nothing and the bottom screen flashes on and off.

I don't have any games plugged in to it, but I heard that it should boot without games in it. Is this correct?

Also, the LED on the board lights up.

Another question I guess... what are the red blue and green pots for on the main board?

Screen flashing on and off sounds like a bad PPU... and the red blue and green pots are to adjust the color gains.

I figured that's what they were for. But, couldn't find anything on them, so didn't want to assume too much and end up damaging something.

As for the PPU issue... damn... that sucks... the board was sold as "working"... but since I had to wait to install it, it's too late to try and return it.

anyone got JUST the ppu? or want to trade me a working board for mine plus cash?

might want to try reseating the ppu and cpu. Just pop them out and put them back in. It can't hurt right?!

If you don't have a game in it, then don't worry about what the PPU or bottom monitor is doing. Your problem lies in the Z80 section.

I forget what happens if a game is not installed.
