Hey gang
My pc10 is slowly dying and im trying to figure out which it is, the chassis or the tube. The chassis has been capped recently but the issue still goes on.
First problem
The monitor is getting dimmer and the brightness pots will not go any higher.

Secondly
my whites look really yellow.

Ive tinkered with it for a while and have been able to alievate some its other problems but these still exist and Im stumped.

Any help would be appreciated
Maybe ill send it for repair since Im 2 months away from opening a store which is taking all my time.

Do you know anyone locally with a rejuvenator? I had a couple monitors with the same symptoms, and a couple minutes on Elutz's rejuvinator and they looked like new.

its a zenith k7000.

i actually have a rejuvi that has helped restore this tube after the red gun went nuts and took over. i feel like the loss of birghtness over time and the whites can be fixed via chassis and neckboard

if you had it zapped already then i would center all the pots on the neck and chassis and start the adjustment process over from a known point.

if i turn back the brightness at all it gets too dim even after zapping. i need my machine to be in good order for when i put it in the store so i wonder if i should just replace the chassis or get it repaired

if so the fly could be your issue.
do you still have the original flyback on there.

is it a K7000A or a standard wells K7000

I had an issue like this once, and I found the pins on the tube's neck were loose. I replaced the tube and like new again. I would suspect the chassis first though. Just sayin

Buffet I believe it to be a wells k7000. it has the original flyback on it. i have a new one from a g07 chassis but im not sure if its compatible.

nope they're totally different beasts.

a pic of the chassis will tell for sure.

if it is a K7000a then you can swap it with a regular K7 as long as you mod the color circuit. and you will have to swap neck boards if it is the standard 10 pin fat neck that zenith used.

yes that is the K7000a.

you can swap it out for a modded WGK7000 and change the neck boards.
