Playchoice 10 restore questions (cosmetics, bulbs, monitor)
I just recently picked up a single monitor Playchoice 10 that I'm excited to work on. Beyond an initial cleaning and swapping some games I haven't yet had the time to do much with it. Cosmetically it's in pretty good shape with a few glaring exceptions. There are also some monitor issues that I'd appreciate some advice on.
Here are a few pics: https://imgur.com/a/rN2uw
Coin door lamps:
Pic 2: Can anyone confirm the type of bulb that should go in that holder? It registers approx 5V on my multimeter, following this post: https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=304930
Cab refinishing:
Pic 3/4: Any advice on refinishing these blemishes. A previous owner has filled them in, but I'm not sure what the best course of action is and what the recommended products would be.
CPO replacement:
Pic 5: I've seen a few different CPO replacements out there, any particular recommendations from the community?
Monitor adjustments:
Pics 6 and on: The colors on the monitor are definitely "off". I'm not remotely an expert but to me it seems like there's too much green. I've never adjusted an arcade monitor before so I figure I'd see if anyone had any suggestions about where to start with this issue (whether or not the RGB adjustments on the neck are the issue, or it's a white balance thing, etc).
The monitor also has faint vertical lines (maybe they're raster lines?) that I've seen posted about before. They're not particularly noticeable, but if there's something I can try to remedy I might give it a go.
This machine has likely never been re-capped, but I feel like that's something that's beyond my ability at this point. May need to find a professional in the area.
Power cord:
Not pictured but they casing on the power cord is frayed, and it's clear that this cord was spliced into the original that's connected to the power supply. The replacement cord itself is missing the ground pin. So at some point I want to replace that. That means either re-splicing myself, or if someone is aware of a replacement cord (with the connector and split out ground wire ready to go), then that would be ideal. *Edit: Found a replacement at TwistedQuarter.
Sorry for the lengthy post. Thanks for looking and I appreciate any assistance and feedback!
