The T-molding is by far the best thing I have done to this cab. for some reason the T-Molding is everything. and This True Flat T-Molding really is awesome. I'm really happy that even the area I repaired inside the slot for the T-Molding turned out perfect.

I've had my eye on his side art. Looks good in the pictures. How is it, though? Printed on good quality stuff? I'm figuring it's inkjet, not screened. The price seems right on his though

I bought side art from DigDug and it turned out great, your machine looks really well done. What paint would you recommend for painting the cab?

I say it's definitely worth the $50 but at the same time, I gotta be honest it's not the same quality as what you would get with NOS artwork. But I fully expected that.

I installed it starting from the top and working my way down slowly going from the middle out. I used the credit card method to smooth it out. The problem is when you rub the artwork with the card it kinda wears down the artwork. like the ink is rubbing off. so it gives it a kinda faded aged look when your finished. I think it can be avoided if you wrap the card in a cloth or if there was a layer of something over the artwork while you install it but that would complicate the installation.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy more artwork from him though. It is pretty good.

I used Benjamin Moore Latex Semi-gloss paint. Rolled it on with a 5mm roller. others have used many different types though. Oil based, some spray some roll. I guess there's no real right answer. I much prefer to work with Latex paint though as I have always had good results and the cleanup is very easy to wash up with water. I also prefer rolling instead of spraying. Mostly because of the fumes, and the need to tape everything off.

Update:

Got a new Marquee from TonyH and it looks awesome.

The cab is wired jamma and has a gamebox 450 in 1 in it. I do plan on getting a playchoice-10 pcb later and make an adapter for it once I move out of this house and I'm settled in our new house with my games in the basement.

The buttons and joysticks are obviously not original but I much prefer sanwa buttons and joysticks, and I let the kids pick the blue & Green colors.

I was told that in sticking up for Nintendo cabinets everywhere your HOTD cabinet took a shot at your Nintendo cabinet for inviting Sanwa buttons to the party.................................

In all seriousness, it looks good.

bringing back an old thread...

How come you didn't paint it black if you were making it a playchoice?

just asking because i'm hopefully picking a converted PC10 up this week that looks identical to this and i was thinking about painting it black...
