The other day I picked up a very nice pc10 with ten games and near perfect art for 150 bucks. It had the top of the screen squished very bad. Almost half way. I put a cap kit in the k7000 and now it looks beautiful when you are in a game, but on the game select screen and and the instruction screens the top 1/4 of the screen is slanted left about 45 deg and is shakey. Ideas? Does anyone work on these pcb's?
Thanks, Jayme

the top monitor was replaced with a K7000 you say?

I'm not scholar on this topic, but I'm going to take a wild stab here and say that you're running with the isolation transformer set at 100VAC for the bottom monitor. top one if it's a WG would need 110.

maybe both monitors were replaced and the iso was changed for 110. I don't know. but maybe check that first.

wonder that thing isn't fried if so, I think.

I should have specified. This is a single monitor. It's a late one. 1990 I think. Very little use. Counter says 4655.

My PC10 single monitor is doing the same thing at the menu screen. But when playing any game, it's fine. I think it may be a motherboard issue.

I will check the monitor input voltage. I assume you mean at the black and white wires leading into the monitor, not b+.
I was thinking motherboard problem just because it's perfect when you select a game.

I was afraid of that. Does anyone repair these boards? I googles around and only found people who hack bios and such.
