Playchoice 10 Dual repair help - RESOLVED

You are using the nes zapper pcb? You did add the jumper from b to c? View attachment 781876
I wasn't able to get that board to fit without trying to cut the tracks in the shells bigger. I wound up finding another gun where someone decided to chop the wires off at the metal hose end, so I had to transplant the whole harness to the other shells.

the blue wire was broken in the gun initially, I replaced it with another blue wire. made zero difference.

Ya the zapper board is a bitch to make fit. I had to actually cut and file down both edges of the pcb to fit within the gun housing.
Also I believe there is a slight difference with the ground loop setup depending if you have a dual monitor or not? Don't quote me lol:)
If you have a dual monitor, then it should be wired like this at the plug side. I managed to pick one up from @apswann

When you say you found another gun, is it a Nintendo gun? The reason I ask because when I obtained my lightgun it actually had a completely random pcb inside(I believe for a Konami?) and did not work even when wired correctly , which is why I ended up converting to a modded nes zapper pcb.

If you happen to crack it open again, would you flick a pic brotha?:)

another Nintendo gun yes. it's dual monitor PC-10 but the gun actually worked before.

Hmm definately quite puzzling. If you have continuity on blue wire from the pcb all the way to the plug end, then that is odd. Blue also happens to be the "hit" wire which seems strange since you clearly are getting "trig" and "5v" E1B1C861-D8E6-4641-AD56-D4EDB63981EF.png
