I want to hook up a sub wooffer on my single monitor pc10 cab. I know some people won't agree but it's a matter of taste.

I assume splitting the unamplified signal from pcb is preferable to splitting the amplified speaker signal from the sound amp... correct me if I'm wrong.

Now assuming I would split the unamplified signal, can I treat it as a regular mono line out (RCA) signal and send it to computer speakers with a sub? If so, should I connect + to L and R and - to ground? Finally, + and - are identified with M and S. Which one is which?

Grab the audio line that goes into the audio amp on the monitor.

It actually goes to a stand alone amp with the single monitor. So I would take the preamped signal. No risk of breaking the pcb if I hook this up to a computer speakers?

Update: I took a shot at hooking up the preamped signal on the computer speakers and it works wonderfully. So I'm using the subwoofer only and the original cab speaker and it sounds great!

So for your information, PC10 signal comming out of the board is in fact a line signal and can be hooked up to any device.
