Hello, apparently a friend of mine bid on this. I don't really know anything about slots (obviously). The insides are basically gutted the reels are just pics, but it does have a power supply and some parts on the front door. Can this be repopulated or would it just be too cost prohibited.

Thanks,
Steven

If you find a working donor game of the same model vintage that has bad aesthetics's it shouldn't be too painful to move all the parts over.

dont even think about it. buy a fully working game and use those parts. hard to tell from the pic, might be a custom cabinet for that game. if so , you'll have to move all from a working game to it. dont buy parts, buy a working game. trashed cabinet. they are out there, not hard to find at all. its a bally, not sure what series, maybe a 5000-6000

Bally 6000 with the custom Playboy top box.

Bally's are cheap, worth basically the cost of the MPU at around $80-$100.., all the parts will work on that Playboy slot, but unsure what's up in the top box 'bonus' area. The MPUs are known to be battery eaters so make sure you get the safe ram clear chips for it (U28 and U43) and a spare battery.

I can help you with the chips needed and parts if you decide to go that route.. I would look locally for an entire machine first though.

Good luck! Neat machine!

*Edit - Are there even reels/strips in that machine, or is it gutted and just for looks? Those strips will be hard to find if missing!

Hello, thank you for the replies. I'll get that top open today or tomorrow and snap some pics. The unit doesn't have reels in it, those are just pictures taped to the window. I'll also scan the auction flyer that came with the slot. It's pretty neat.
