NEW Plating: Chrome, Brass, Black Nickel, powder coating for games...

What a great thread! This is a much, much needed service for people interested in fully restoring these great old cabinets! Very nice ...

Got some cool pieces coming in to chrome plate. Hope to have the Gottlieb door back from powder coating tomorrow. Will post pics of what we see. Let me know if I can help anyone else with anything!

Sorry for the delay. Too much going on!

I'll just be honest, pictures don't do this stuff justice. This has a super nice texture to it that is hard to describe in words. It's not rough like sandpaper but easy to the touch. Looks really nice. Of course we can do without any texture too if you don't want a texture powder coat. Thoughts on this?
Since I know people are going to ask, here's how we did the raised letter piece. After it was all cleaned and stripped throughly, the logo had the powder wiped clean off the top of it before it was powder coated. So you are seeing a nice clean surface of the factory machined off logo just as it's meant to be. It looks amazing.

Let me know what you guys think. I'm thinking I need to start a different thread with prices at the front end of it on each of the things we are doing. Also dropped off a set of legs to a Sega cocktail today to be chromed, excited to see what those look like!

Do you have any pics of the before/after work you've done on all the Tapper parts? Besides the rail do you also clear coat the cup holders too?

Looks awesome. Sending you an e-mail now about getting mine done!

The texture looks great, not too exaggerated and more like what we're used to seeing (at least on the coinco doors I have).

Looking forward to that price post!

Here's some shots of one of the Tappers we've done. You will get little pits still when you plate it here or there, almost no way around it with those cupholders being made from pot metal. But, we think we have a way to make them better than even the ones we've done before.

Someone asked me somewhere for before pictures of the Gottlieb Raised Letter Door we just did so here you go -- This is also a good showing of what you should send (and only these pieces) when having one done.

This is the same door that I will post all the pics of in the next post.

And now here's the pics of all the pieces done. I'll get it together later this week but I think you get the idea. Price for this set being done is $125. You will receive an invoice for this plus shipping after your parts are done, with your parts, and can then pay Paypal friends/family or mail a check.
If you want a set done go to http://www.pinballplating.com/contact/ for shipping instructions and information. Feel free to call or email if you need to as well - it's all there.
I think you will see the quality we are talking about here and in a finish many guys just can't pull off.

Oh man, I want you to do the rails, lockbar, and legs on my Judge Dredd like that!

Nice work!!!!

Would it cost extra to have old powdercoat job stripped off? I had my SW cockpit door done by a guy who did a sloppy glossy job.

No, that's pretty much figured into the cost here. They have to be stripped to be done right. The originals were coated too, just not to this type of standard. I would say it will be a little cheaper to do some other doors. You are not doing things like the raised letter plate (there's time to that attention to detail even on that one piece) so it's all based on man hours etc. Smaller Midway style doors will be a bit cheaper too for obvious size reasons. I guess I need to do one of those next, huh?

Looks amazing, so for the Tapper parts it's $225 plus shipping, how long is the turn around usually take? and if someone has spray painted the parts does it cost more for you to strip them and do this?
