Plasma EDTV used with Sega Naomi and Lindbergh - any thoughts?

The older Plasma monitors that are EDTV or 480P native should be setup up well for 640x480 games I would think and they don't have any lag issues as per the LCD monitors due to the Plasma technology - is this correct? So how would a plasma monitor with native 852x480 (EDTV) work with Sega Naomi and newer hardware in terms of quality and to provide a "CRT-like" performance closer to a CRT due to the lack of lag and how they typically work? Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

I've owned a Plasma TV for 7 years now and never
saw any lag when playing my assorted game or PC
systems on it. Most Plasma sets run at 600hz where
LCDs are only 120 or 240.

The main problem with a Plasma TV is you will quickly see
burn-in on the screen with static images used in a video
game.

The problem I have seen with LCDs on Naomi's and
Chihiros is that the horizontal frequency is not quite 60hz.

Some TV's will report no signal even though they work fine
with a computer running in 640x480.

I outfitted a Ghost Squad with an LCD monitor and for
whatever reason the monitor would not accept the video
signal unless the monitor was turn on -after- the game
had loaded and started running.

My solution - when the Ghost Squad starts running, it turns
on power to the lights in the pedestal. I stuck an 8 pin PIC chip
on a breadboard. The PIC would monitor the 5 volts that turned on
the light relay. When the 5 volts driving the light relay energized,
the PIC would send a 1 second pulse to switch on the TV.

Thanks for the response. That was my concern going with the general LCD monitor with the Naomi and Chihiro is it seems to be "hit and miss" in regards to displays that will work with them. It is difficult to tell in advance if it will work or not - even if the specs seem to say it supports 640x480 and/or it has a VGA connection, doesn't seem to guarantee it will work.
So what are your thoughts on the Plasma display - if lag isn't an issue and it is known to support 640x480 resolution (natively) it should be a good display for these systems? Support for the Naomi (VGA) and yet will display the HD signals of the Lindbergh?
You are correct with the burn-in, but I don't plan to run them for long period of time in a house setting and would be mindful of any static images. Otherwise, the plasma is a good answer to the larger (albeit 16:9) displays for the older VGA arcade systems?
Thanks again.

All the conversions I have done are for commercial arcades.

If it's for home it will probably be fine. Most Plasmas have a screen "wash"
feature so when you see "burn in" starting you can "wash" it (usually a bright
white or cycling color blocks). They usually also have a pixel orbiter or shift feature
which occasionally moves all the pixels on the screen so they don't stay on and
in the same place too long.
