Like most restorationists, you end up with more monitors then games so with that being said i need to build a shelf system for the 7 extra monitors i have.

Anyone have simple plans available. I have alot of 2x4's to use but need something that will fit in a small area in the garage. Need to house atleast 1 25"

More monitors than games? I've always got the opposite problem. More games than monitors. Seems like every game I find is missing the monitor.

I am going to build a shelf along the top of the wall in my shop to house my monitors. I think right now I only have 5 or 6 extras, so it won't need to be very big. I also plan to have brackets that I can put at least one bolt through incase of earthquake or something so they don't tip off the shelf, doubt that would ever happen but better safe than sorry.

The horizontal mount frames are quite sturdy. You can stack several of them on top of each other with one side towards the floor and one towards the ceiling. I think they can go four-high with no problem.

You may have to stagger them a little and have a wall behind them for backup.

I'm in the same position incrediblegamez. Right now I have 5 working 19" tv's, a couple extra med res tubes, and 1 extra 19" B/W tube lying around. Hopefully this summer I'll have time to open the tv's and see which ones are usable, but in the meantime I'll keep stacking them in the corner.

Build the bottom shelf high enough off the floor to put the 25" or larger monitors on the floor underneath. Enough shelves for 19", with space up top for 13". Heaviest monitors go below, and they get lighter as you go up.

When I finally get my garage, I'll most likely have space below for the big monitors, then have the 19" and smaller monitors up high on a top shelf, with shelves in between for parts storage.....
