While most other Cali KLOV'ers were at CAX I went to Yosemite. Took the back route in up 395 to the Tioga Pass. We stopped in Bishop, CA for 1 night on our way in and ate at Pizza Factory. Pretty decent arcade for a tiny town like Bishop, the pizza wasn't all that bad either.

They have a few other locations in Cali that I know of but have not visited any others.

bishop is a cool little town....

on the way up to mammoth we always stop at the local SCHATT'S BAKERY. they have THE best jalapeno cheese bread! soooooo good.

I think just about everyone stops at Schatt's. Its a Eastern Sierra's icon. The bread is great but doesn't keep very long since its baked fresh without prservatives. A great breakfast spot in Bishop is Jack's, we usually hit it up on our way back from Mammoth.

There's a newer PF here in Ridgecrest. They just took out all their arcade games. :6

I lived in ridgecrest for a few years (1991-1994) and the bowling alley used to have a massive arcade. 30+ games if I remember correctly.

The restaurant I worked at (John's pizza pasta ice cream) only had 3 or 4 games back then.
Until they opened the fun factory and then it was pretty good. mostly redemption though

oh and I always like pizza factory pizza, good stuff.

Every time I see a working Off Road, it makes me want to punch an infant.

speaking of that, I talked to a guy today (who knows his shit) and he says that the off road boards are like suicide batteries. once the battery goes dead, one of hte chips loses information and it's a done deal at that point.

but, I cut the battery off of my track pack and it still works fine.

I asked El Dorado about it a while back and they said that replacements for the chip aren't available either, so... welp.

John's is still around, a rattled husk of its former glory (played sooooo many classic games at John's for the 1st time...) and I have the corpse of the Ms. Pac cabaret that was in the back room for the longest time. Reviving it is my white whale.

Sierra Lanes still has games, but none in decent condition. They've got a Galaga/Ms.Pac 20th Anniv. cab, but Ms. Pac with a speed chip makes the Baby Jesus cry, so I don't play it.

I was the GM of that restaurant back in 93-94. hell I was on the menu for a decade, lol.
guess that's my 15 minutes (cover of a menu in ridgecrest)

Did they have a Bishop of Battle arcade game?????

No Steve, no they don't. But some of the places out here could be desolate enough for gaming that I'd not be surprised. Besides, that's Emlio Estivez's bag, right? I'm saving my hopes for getting picked up by Robert Preston in a spaceship.

But back on subject, Pizza Factory still has good eats, at any of their locations. (they've got a place in Lone Pine too.. never been there.)

Tron Guy: I'm gonna guess you're the guy on the far right with the stack of pizza boxes.
