Museum of the Game® & International Arcade Museum® Forums
Hi all,
1st post to this forum. I have had a bit to do with pinball machines recently and am comfortable carrying out basic repairs on them. Just picked up a Sega Cool Riders driving cabinet - 1st time i've ever opened an arcade machine. Everything seems to work OK but both monitors have serious pixelation happening.
There is a note on the main CPU box that says "Checked out and could not fault (both video outputs) ran OK for 20 hrs" So i assume the CPU has been sent away and tested OK, and assume that the problem lies between the CPU and the monitors.
I have reseated most connectors in the base of the machine.
There has been a 2nd PSU put into the machine (silver one) which i assume is due to the fact the +12V does not work on the original. When i tested the +12V on the silver PSU it tested at 11.96V at the 1st board it connects to (i assume this is enough power?).
So can anyone point me in a direction to continue looking? (Keeping in mind i'm pretty new to these...)
