Hopefully David Widel will make more soon,

Jon

Damn that's an awesome set-up. I'm always in awe of your collection. Once they got it working toward the end of Saturday night, I played Chiller a few times at CAEX. It was the first time I'd ever seen it, can't believe what the game is all about. It's so crazy...classic.

...

Im hoping to have a video of my games running soon. Ive changed quite a bit of games around, so it looks quite different than when I first finished it.

The EXIDY gun game is one of my favorites.

You're a guru man....you have an excellent knack for picking those interesting and unique games. It's like you have an uber-collection. Envious!

...

Wundercade.

Its nothing "well thought out". I tell this story quite often in person. As a kid my mother would spend the entire weekend in the mall. My brother and I had the choice of either looking at womens clothes all day or playing in the arcade... So guess what, we played in the arcade all day.
Since we spent so much time there, we had a chance to play a ton of the obscure games and would always seek new and unknown games. So a lot of my memories as a kid was playing those games.
I focus only on games I really enjoyed as a kid, and they just happen to be the obscure ones now.

Hmmmmm.......

Multi-Exidy.... Hmmmmmm........

I don't suppose you could take just a minute and give a rundown of how it came to be?

Does it play the same as all of the originals?

Any glitches/quirks?

Recommendations for a cab?

What board you used and where we can get it?

You get the idea.... I love it.... and with limited space this would be sweeeeeeet.

yes.

Sometimes it doesnt boot.
All the games seem to be right-on.

Recommendations for a cab?
Any Exidy Gun game will do.

What board you used and where we can get it?
Used a Crossbow board w/the multiboard.

The infamous Multi Exidy 440 kit!

I have been conversing with Mike Doyle about the next run of these kits. He has worked closely with Dave Widel on a number of projects, including this one.

Good news... the prototype of the next Multi Exidy board is finished and he is meeting with Dave Widel this weekend to discuss the process for fabricating these. According to Mike, things should happen pretty quickly after he meets with Dave.

Keep your eyes posted to the newsgroup. Keep up the good work Mike! You can see there are a number of us counting on you.

Anyone....?

If we got permission from the owner of the software to use it is there anyone out there that could build new Exidy multi-boards?

Sign me up, ASAP, need a deposit?

And Exidy, your game rules. Thanks for posting pics of that Chiller cabinet, it looks awesome. I am envious of the Turkey Shoot as well.

I'll have more details after Dave and I get together on Sunday. The licensing deal with Exidy is already worked out which also means there won't be extras, we'll do a preorder with a small deposit like the Multi Q*bert project we did last Fall. With set-ups and minimums, this run will be a "one and done". Exidy games aren't like JAMMA adaptors and I'm still sitting on unsold Multi Q*bert stock.

I'm also planning to do another T-shirt with the preorder tied into the game theme since I've got a great printer just down the road and everyone liked those in the past.

In summary: pics and details on Sunday 9/13.
