Pit-fighter....Awful...

I remember when it was new the cab had great feel and a good theme too it, it was always great getting big piles of cash, smackin people out of the crowd...
TY...FTW

Pit Fighter isn't great, but Primal Rage is much, much, much worse. Unplayable, uninteresting, uninspired. If it didn't feature farting stop motion dinosaurs, nobody would even remember it. Time Killers sucks too, but that's different - even the design team knew it sucked. When they first hit game rooms, Pit Fighter drew bigger crowds and was played more than Rage. Both fell off the map pretty fast.

Pit Fighter gets hated on these days because it's so common and so many classics were butchered with PF kits. But going by those criteria, Rastan should feel just as much hate, even though it's a better game than Pit Fighter. :)

Kids love primal rage...... And Dinosaurs...

I used to date a girl who;s son would always play SNES Killer Instinct... Always picked the fucking silly dinosaur character.

I bought Primal Rage and he nearly shit his pants playing that for the first time.

This is really it as far as Primal goes. Your average 10 year old in an arcade saw the machine and went "oh cool dinosaurs...holy shit the dinosaur farted!" and proceeded to pump a bunch of quarters into the machine. The slightly older crowd got the draw in with "hey i remember liking dinosaurs a few years ago, oh wait, did that just eat one of the people?". It was the perfect draw for a handful of quarters out of a certain market segment. Probably a decent short term earner, but once people played it a few times, most fell out of love very, very quickly.

I'm talking more like 4-8 year olds.
