Pit-fighter....Awful...

Wasn't any worse than MK....

The actual arcade game was pretty ok...

The Console versions sucked though.

I love telling people I had the 3 button Genesis method down pat. Most people pop a vessel at the mere thought of 3 button controls. I was at a party 2 weeks ago that had an MK3. I still visualize all the combos on a Genesis controller. Surely I can't be the only person in the world who had an appreciation for making the 3 button layout work so beautifully and symmetrically!

man idk it feels way to sloppy. And I think MK did the best in terms of using humans as characters (whatever its called) I grew up on MK on the genesis, had I had SF the Movie I probably would have not been into video games for long.

I used to play Street Fighter II hyper on a 3 button Genny pad.... Press start to switch between Kicks and Punches.....

Slowed me down some, but I was still able to pull off Vega's Wall move (Up and kick to do a wall jump, Punch to open claws/suplex)

I think Pit Fighter is an awful game as well. I have 2 working Pit Fighter boards i will sell for 20$ shipped each. Good deal because they are pretty big boards. I imagine I will have these until they hit the dumpster. You cant give them away.

PM sent...:)

Well I guess you can. Wrong again.

If pseeds was smart, though, he'd have asked me first, as i have one or two also...

Oops. Didn't know that.

Wish mod would have indicated he had some. :)

And, despite what mod said, I am smart. My mom told me so. ;)

So did Stuart Smalley, darn it.

I have a pit fighter that I gave to my son back in march? It's new home will be my house once again. He is evicting it...

I might mame or kill this one!

You Fools!

Pit-fighter is fucking Awesome!!!

I still love it. The FMV of the fighters during the attract mode is cool. Ty is by far the best character, followed by Buzz. Kato is the worst of the 3 and is pretty useless, he would bow after performing his special, the bow animation was so slow you would get clobbered before the animation was finished. It's awesome to pick up a crate or motorcycle and smash it over Southside Jim's head. It's not so awesome to fight against 2 Chainman Eddies though, especially if one of them picks up the power pill. The voices are cool, the Masked Warriors taunts, the crowd screaming, and also getting involved.

It's a fun game, I had a blast playing Pit-Fighter.

Mame that puppy, there's more than enough CP real estate to have whatever controls you need without it being crammed.

Hey now.. i have a lot to owe to pit fighter. It was the only game at auction i could afford back when i was 17. That kicked off my whole collection 12 years ago. The board was removed 5 mintues from getting it home and its still in the same box I put it in!

Am I the only one who finds this atari cab useful? Has a nice slide out droor for pcbs, lots of space on the panel...just ignore the bastardized zenith branded k7000 and its... kinda.. rather enjoyable... no?

I have a working PF board. I pulled it out of my converted Gauntlet

I never played it in the arcades so when I played it on my machine I was less than impressed (although I'm less than impressed with most fighting games).

In another few weeks it will be a Gauntlet again though

My 3 personal jamma cabinets are atari drawer. People don't realize that the control panel bolts on. You can remove the 3 player wide and drop on a 2 player wide(if you have the parts).

Slide out flat front access to the board. I don't think you can find a smaller cabinet that has a 25" monitor in it. Monitor can be rotated... Whats not to like..

Atari used it for most of their field test proto cabinets. I recently added proto max force(atari drawer) and proto die alien scum (primal rage cabinet).

The only negative to pitfighter is the control layout. They have that player 1 and player 3 have the controls angled..

In this same vein, I always liked Primal Rage for some reason. It actually is almost as bad.

Bought me a Primal Rage this weekend. It actually rocks and my daughter is going to love it, as are my young cousins. What a coincidence, I mention liking the game, one pops up at auction, I nab it. I love life and all the surprises it has to offer. I also love great boobs and clear starry nights.

You know.. there's something about fighting dinosaurs. It's a great fun game.

I think Pitfighter suffered from just not being at the right level of technology to be really great. Bigger ROM, more RAM, more color, more animations. I will say.. I remember seeing it back in the day and thinking it was a bit pants.

my brothers kids loved primal rage and trog. Thats pretty much all they would play when they came over. They would would finish off the 50 levels in trog and then play primal.
