Anyone played this? I played it for the first time Friday night. Pretty cool. I'd love to own one but would have to take a second mortgage I'm sure.

Ya pin's are ridiculously priced, but they are worth it. They are built to last, fun to play. The price needs to drop so more families can enjoy the entertainment at home. Not everyone can drop 4k on 1 pin, there's so much other things to use that kind of cash on especially in this economy.

It's definitely a fun game and good for a family setting. There are tons of playfield mods/toys that can be done too.

I had one for a while, but traded it off because we couldn't afford to tie that much into a single game. I got an incredible deal on it too.

I played one for the first time at Disneyland. More fun than I thought it would be. I had a lot of fun on it, I got a couple of replays AND a match. Nice value for my tokens.

There's one in a CEC next to a Pho place I frequent, but they've got it leveled very aggressively, which normally wouldn't be too bad, but also they've shaved the flipper rubbers on top of that. Sheesh.

There are lots of fun pins in the $1-2k range too. Games like World Cup Soccer, Starship Troopers, Demolition Man, and many others would be on that list.

Pirates and I have a weird history. At first I hated the game....I thought it was slow and boring. ...then, I started to understand the rules and realized that not EVERY game has to be flow-flow-flow ...Pirates works well for what it is - a collection & multiball-stacking game. It's very challenging to fill up the compass & achieve 4-winds, and getting a Kraken, Heart, and Tortuga multiball all going simultaneously is very rewarding and fun. I ended up respecting the game, and then craving to play it! I finally bought one 3 or 4 months back. It's a nice "change of pace" game in my collection. That being said, I'm not sure it's a long-term keeper. When I play my other games, I definitely like Pirates' slowness is its Achilles' Heel and I'll end up replacing it w/ something else down the road.....for now though, I'm playing the hell out of it and trying to get to 4-Winds!!!!
