I recently bought a Pioneer Laser Juke model # CJ -V55 and would like to have a copy of the service manual but can't find one. Does anyone know where I can get one? Also has anyone convertered one of these jukes into an MP3 player, I found a kit that will do this.

I have a Pioneer with the cdadapter kit installed. It rocks! I've had/have Rowe/AMI, Rockola, NSM and Pioneer cd jukes and in my opinion the Pioneer is by far the best sounding of them all. It's a shame the cd players in these units are so hard to source replacements for, many of the Pioneers got junked because parts are not available.

The cdadapter kit works great and I think it's the best way to salvage an otherwise unusable juke.

Bear in mind the legality of what the kit allows is questionable (the whole legality of mp3's in general), so the kit should only be used for a box in your home. I would not suggest placing one of these kits in a box in public.
