While I don't mind donating, CDs are a silly idea...Membership would be a better one.

The copyrighted PinRepair.com Pinball Repair Guides are now available for sale from the NON-PROFIT 501c Pacific Pinball Museum. Please help the museum and purchase the pinball repair guides from them on CD ROM. This is the only way to gain access to the pinball repair guides at this point in time. We have changed the repair guide access to this method to help aid the non-profit Pacific Pinball Museum.

huh... that's interesting. I guess I can't blame him. Lots of that information is not his original work though. I have to wonder if stuff like my single EPROM conversions and 5101 -> 6116 RAM conversion will end up on a CD that someone is selling. And all the other work that people did and donated for others to use. That wouldn't be cool.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up

I just went through and saved everything.

What program are you using? I tried with HTTracker and I get some mirror error message. I just printed the 3 parts to PDF for now.

I just used the wayback machine and saved them as complete web pages in internet explorer.

Strange...I can access pinrepair.com as normal?!

EDIT: I see SOME of the guides are coming up with the notice but others aren't. Anyone know if he intends to make ALL the guides "blocked"?

I wonder why some are still free, and some aren't?

Probably because some of them are direct copies of other peoples websites, such as the System 3-7 page.

Sys3-7 doesn't work for me, I get the index list of the guide but clicking on any part of it brings up the notice. Infact only the General Repair guide can be seen for me.

Try and actually use any of the repair guides...beyond their indexes.

Stern seems to be working... as does about 1/2 the others... but many don't work.

EDIT: Strange... now it's not working... it was before... just like 30 minutes ago.

Whoops, didn't dig deep enough to see that.
System 3-7 info stuff still isn't Clay's to slap a pricetag on though.

Well now shit...all the damn web pages I saved seems to have captured the content but all the links are jacked...

Time to check out this HTTtracker program.

Well... I tried the WinHTTrack and it seems to have downloaded the pages... but not any of the images... can someone tell me what settings they are using to download the entire content?

Go into the settings and check the box for that, or you won't get images and other files.
I can't recall what tab it was under, but you'll know it when you find it...

Change the dropdown box for Spiders to not use Robot rules too...or you'll not pick up everything.
