PinFight! Jurassic Park vs. World Cup Soccer

I would agree on JP as I've owned a WCS before. It has great staying power when you have guests over cause scoring goals to them never gets old but on a daily basis I found myself playing it less and less. Plus side on WCS is that it is the cheapest Popadiuk game to own next to SWE1 :)

I own a WCS and have played JP a couple times. JP does seem fun with the dino, but I got tired of it quick. WCS has great flow and I prefer it. I am biased on DE pins though. Williams 4LYF

WCS is tough to keep the soccer ball clean and is a diificult playfeild to keep clean.
JP can have dinosuar moving issuses.
Pick your poison.

I'm not sure if I've ever actually played a WCS, but all that turquoise and purple make it the least attractive pin ever for me. The theme is strike #2 against it, not really a soccer fan and the manchild within will always pick dinosaurs over almost anything. Case in point:

Winner: Jurassic Park

JP is a fun game, was not fun enough to keep, world cup sucker has never made it into my game room.......played it at a tourney in an Omaha bar, and at expo, but just can't get into it

Love WCS, and hardly played Jurassic Park back in the day enough to remember it...

Would buy either pin though if I could find them in the 1000-ish range in decent shape nearby. Might be dreaming on the WCS at that price, lol.

Not at all. I found a pretty decent WCS for my father in law for $1050.

As to the original question of the post, I would prefer WCS. I think it has more flow personally, plus I am a fanboy of John Popadiuk. I don't mind the colors at all, although the GOAL voice call can get repetetive.

That said, of all the pinball machines Data East Made, JP would be in my top 3 (with Checkpoint and Phantom of the Opera)

My offer stands, I'm looking for a JP and willing to pay $1500 for a good one. Doesn't need to be perfect, but no real issues. The closer to SW-WI the better.

You paying a finders' fee if I find you one on CL up there? I usually try to limit my trolling to TX/OK/KS/LA/GA LOL!

I'd go with WCS. JP's dino is a great gimmick, but the sound is terrible and the game just feels "off"...it's a Lawlor mashup and I'd rather just play a real Lawlor game (Addams, Funhouse, or Whirlwind) ...I guess it's that DE vs. WMS feel. They're a similar price range game - so if I had to choose, I'd go with WCS.

If it's something I buy, sure. What's a typical finder fee on a machine? Although I have feeds setup on most of the local CL ads, but if a machine can be purchased for $1000, it can even be shipped for under $1500.

I'm actually trading my restored Earthshaker for a HUO WCS. Can't wait. The theme is great for our family because we're all into soccer. I coach and my daughters play. The ES was a lot of fun but we wanted to move up to something with more rules. The guy I'm trading with has a nice Whirlwind, so the pair will be cool together.

Data East pins never played that well to me.....Williams is the king of pinball.
